Data capture

All important botanical and topographical information is systematically captured. Every tree with a diameter of at least 50 centimetres – in some cases 20 centimetres – is identified, marked and the data computerized.

The comprehensive documentation provides a unique baseline for the optimal planning of the whole harvest process: from tree selection and demarcation of protection zones to road construction, production and distribution.

In addition, the documented data provides an invaluable baseline for longterm monitoring of biodiversity and developments in flora and fauna.
